Job description

Position Summary
Responsible formaintenance, engineering, condition monitoring and managing projects to enhance equipment safety and reliability. Our plantrequiresanengineerwhohasexperience with large pumps, steamturbinesand compressors. Knowledge of vibration analysis for rotating equipment and predictive maintenance and the ability to guide teams through failure analysis isrequired. This role will provide technical support to Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Inspection, Process and Project and contracting personnelregardingoperation, maintenance and troubleshooting for long-term reliability improvement and theselectionof rotating equipment.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, Inspection, Process and Project personnelregardingselection, operation, maintenance,troubleshootingand long-term reliability of rotating equipment.
  • Participate in pre-commissioning and commissioningactivities andprovide technical support for major capital projects.
  • Conduct performance analysis of rotating equipment toidentifyperformance & operating deviations to provide a resolution on developing deficiencies.
  • Lead continuous improvement of reliability of rotating equipment through the development and application of effective reliability strategiessuchasrisk-based maintenance strategies, identification & assessment of risks, root cause and bad actor analysis and spare parts reviews.
  • Partner with vendors to resolve technical problems and developnew solutions.
  • Develop the rotating equipment engineering repair scope for all outages, as well as major and turnaround maintenance events.
  • Serve as a member of cross-functional team to resolve equipment problems, investigateincidents,and improveMaintenance.
  • Identifiesand assessesnew technologiesrelated to rotating equipment and auxiliary systems.
  • Works towards continuous improvement of the reliability of rotating equipment through the development and application of effective reliability strategies, the identification of risks, root cause analysis and team-based problem solving using and implementing industry best practices and standards. Partner with vendors toresolve equipmenttechnical problems.
  • Research, design, evaluate, install,operate, andmaintainmechanical products, equipment,systems,and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
  • Recommend design modifications toeliminatemachine or system malfunctions.
  • Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.

Qualifications
Education, Experience, and/or Training
  • Bachelor's or higher degree inMechanicalEngineeringrequired.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience working in the chemical or petrochemical industryrequired.
  • Experience must be as plant owners'employeein a continuous process industry, preferably chemicals or oil refining.
