Rotational Finance Program Analyst
Department: Finance, Corporate
Location: Itasca, IL
Type: Full-time
Summary:
This role will gain hands-on experience across all major financial areas of Prinova, including Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis, Operational Financial Planning and Analysis, Cost/Managerial Accounting, and Credit/Treasury, over a 2-3-year period.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Support the annual budget process
  • Support the monthly forecasting process
  • Develop and maintain analysis and financial models for use by senior management in reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance and comparisons to budget/forecast/prior year results
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly management reports and KPI's that track the financial and operational performance of the organization
  • Ability to data mine and create deep dive analysis on various metric areas and financial trends
  • Supporting senior staff with special or ad-hoc projects as requested
  • Assist with special projects as needed
  • Analyze cost/managerial accounting trends and variances for Prinova's manufacturing divisions
  • Work with accounting to assist in the monthly and year-end close processes as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned

Required Education and/or Experience:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience within a corporate finance environment is preferred but not required.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
  • Work environment is normally in an office setting. Must be able to make frequent rounds in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Other physical requirements include moderate standing and occasional squatting, bending, and twisting
  • Ability to work around a variety of different smells and aromas
  • Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
