Job description

Security Officer

Security Officer- Full Time/ Rotating

Work location: Texas Health Resources: 612 E. Lamar Arlington, TX 76011

Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Rotating Shift

  • Must be available to work any 8- hour shift

  • Must be available any days of the week, including weekends

  • Full Time, 5-day work week

  • Rotating schedule (days, evenings, nights)

Here's What You Need

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required And

  • Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Security, or closely related field is preferred

Experience

  • 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred

  • Texas Private Security Level 3 is preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • DL - Drivers License (Class C and insurable) upon hire required And

  • ACPI - Advanced Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 30 days required And

  • NCSO - Non-Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 2 (not required if have Level 3) 120 days required And

  • CSO - Commissioned Security Officer Texas Private Security Level 3 (2 attempts permitted). Biannual recertification. 120 days required And

  • TASER Certification- Complete Course & Certification (2 attempts permitted). Annual recertification. 120 days required

What You Will Do

  • Patrol buildings and clinics for unlocked secured areas for after-hour entry.

  • Locks and opens doors according to schedules.

  • Provides individual and group escorts to and from parking areas.

  • Identifies and removes unauthorized individuals from property.

  • Maintains compliance with Texas Health Police policies.

  • Pursues and detains persons involved in criminal activity.

  • Fills out incident/offense report forms and composes narratives.

  • Utilizes critical thinking skills and provides the appropriate level of force for the situation

  • Responds to and activates the appropriate emergency response code

  • Interacts with and provides assistance to Police, Fire, EMS and other emergency staff as required
