Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Application Analyst 2 for a contract/remote position.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE)
  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience. Master's Degree and 0 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
  • Quick Learner and self-starter (working under limited supervision).
  • Effective problem-solving and attention to details.
  • Works well under pressure, while multi-tasking.
  • Experience with Scheduling and monitoring tools such as Control-M, Tivoli and Network Manager or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with systems that process on multiple platforms, for example UNIX and Windows.
  • Knowledge of networking and distributed computing concepts.
  • Scripting tools and program languages, such as UNIX scripting, Perl, Visual Basic a plus.
  • Familiarity with a ticketing system (i.e., SMAX, HPSM).
  • Good verbal and written communications required for gathering/supplying details about job failures from/to analysts and communicating with management and team leads.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree is required.
School must be accredited.
WORK HOURS
5/40 workweek. This is for 1st shift only, 100% remote work.
