Role Summary:

As a Games and Bowling Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of games, bowling equipment and related mechanical systems within the FEC. This role involves machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance services, cleanliness of equipment and areas, and inspection of amusement attractions, (including but not limited to rock climbing walls, ropes courses, laser tag systems, and etc.) and performing maintenance and repairs of arcade games.

Responsibilities:

Bowling Maintenance: Conduct machine setup, calibration, and adjustments for bowling lanes. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to pinsetters, ball returns, and other bowling equipment. Perform repairs promptly to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations. Conduct preventive maintenance on bowling lanes, pinsetters, and related systems. Clean and maintain all equipment and areas within the FEC, including bowling lanes, ball returns, and game machines. Amusement Attraction Equipment Inspection and Maintenance:

  • Inspect and maintain all amusement attraction equipment, including but not limited to:
    • Rock Climbing Walls: Regularly examine climbing holds, safety harnesses, auto-belay systems, and anchor points. Ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Ropes Courses: Conduct thorough inspections of ropes, platforms, safety nets, and structural components. Address any wear, damage, or hazards.
    • Laser Tag Systems: Check laser guns, vests, sensors, and arena components. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot technical issues.
    • Collaborate with Management to address any mechanical challenges related to amusement attractions.
    • Arcade Games Management:
      • Maintain and repair arcade games, game card kiosks, game card readers, redemption equipment, and other entertainment systems.
      • Regularly inspect game cabinets, buttons, joysticks, game card readers, and wiring for wear, damage, or malfunction.
      • Keep track of game performance, revenue, and popularity to optimize game placement.
      • Assists guests with game instructions, resolve game-related queries, and provide excellent customer service.
    • General Responsibilities:
      • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
      • Ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance, inspections, and game repairs.
      • Assist with other facility maintenance tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in bowling alley maintenance, arcade game repair, or similar mechanical roles preferred.
  • Familiarity with string pin bowling systems, amusement attractions, arcade games and related equipment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the FEC.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
