Under the direction of the Tasting Room Manager, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service background, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine enjoyment of engaging with people.

As a Tasting Room Attendant, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our guests, ensuring every visitor receives exceptional service from the moment they arrive. A friendly, professional, and energetic demeanor is essential, as you will play a key role in representing our brand and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities include providing wine tasting experiences, assisting guests with wine and merchandise purchases, preparing and serving deli offerings, maintaining a clean and inviting environment, and supporting daily tasting room operations. The successful candidate will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced setting while consistently delivering outstanding guest service.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Learn and confidently share the history, values, brands, and story of the winery with guests.

  • Provide exceptional hospitality by creating a welcoming, engaging, and memorable guest experience.

  • Maintain a professional, positive attitude and contribute to a strong team culture.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of winery wines, food offerings, wine club benefits, and merchandise.

  • Conduct wine tastings, answer guest questions, and make recommendations that enhance the guest experience.

  • Prepare and serve food offerings in accordance with all food safety and handling procedures.

  • Achieve wine, merchandise, and wine club sales goals through guest engagement and product knowledge.

  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.

  • Stock, organize, and maintain merchandise displays, tasting areas, and guest spaces to company standards.

  • Assist with table service, bussing, cleaning, and general tasting room upkeep as needed.

  • Support winery events, promotions, and off-site functions when requested.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and onboarding of new team members.

  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and health regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager.

Professional Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Have or be willing to acquire RBS Certification.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, follow-up, and work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
  • Must be flexible in working weekends and special events.
  • At least one-year experience in hospitality industry, preferably in a tasting room or as a restaurant server is highly desired but not required.
  • Customer service and or retail experience.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with POS System a plus.
  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
