About us

Girl Dinner Social is a women-only iOS app helping women in Chicago actually make friends — not just match with them. We're small and early, so nothing you propose disappears into a backlog. If your idea's good, we test it fast and you see the result within days.


What you'll be doing

You'll own getting more women in Chicago to sign up — with real ownership over how.

  • Get inside our users' heads. Know what actually makes someone stop scrolling and download, and turn that into ideas without waiting on a brief from us
  • Explore different ways to get people excited — activation ideas, hooks, incentives — and actually build and launch them, not just pitch them
  • Go find people wherever they are — partnerships, campus and community outreach, referral pushes, whatever gets us in front of the right women
  • Watch what's working and go all-in on it
  • Team up with our social media intern to riff on content ideas together, while you own the acquisition channels outside organic Instagram/TikTok


Who you are

  • You can put yourself in our users' shoes and know what makes us different from every other social app — without us spelling it out for you
  • You come up with your own ideas and run with them; you don't need a brainstorm session with the founder to get moving
  • You're scrappy — you'll test five small things before waiting for one perfect plan
  • You're comfortable reaching out to people or organizations cold
  • You can track and report on what's working without someone asking you to
  • You're based in or near Chicago
