Job description

Puma Roofing is looking for driven, competitive, and self motivated roofing project managers who want more than just another job. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven Roofing Project Manager to oversee residential roofing projects throughout the Orlando area.   The Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from contract execution through final completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards and Florida building codes.

This position serves as the primary liaison between customers, production crews, subcontractors, suppliers, insurance representatives, and company leadership to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:


Project Management

  • Manage multiple roofing projects simultaneously from start to finish.
  • Schedule material deliveries, labor crews, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all work complies with Florida Building Code, OSHA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
  • Conduct pre-construction planning meetings and job kickoff meetings.
  • Perform regular jobsite inspections to verify workmanship and quality.
  • Track project progress and resolve issues before they impact completion.
  • Coordinate project closeout, punch lists, warranties, and final inspections.

Customer Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, property managers, builders, and commercial clients.
  • Provide regular project updates and maintain clear communication throughout the construction process.
  • Address customer questions, concerns, and change requests professionally.
  • Ensure a positive customer experience from project initiation through completion.

Field Operations

  • Coordinate roofing crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Verify crews have proper materials, equipment, and job specifications.
  • Perform quality control inspections throughout each phase of construction.
  • Document job progress with photos and written reports.
  • Resolve field issues quickly while minimizing project delays.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and jobsite audits.
  • Ensure all permits, inspections, and documentation are completed.
  • Maintain compliance with local municipalities and Florida licensing requirements.

Financial Management

  • Monitor project budgets and control costs.
  • Review labor and material expenditures.
  • Approve vendor invoices and subcontractor payments.
  • Manage change orders and ensure proper documentation.
  • Track project profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate project files and documentation.
  • Utilize project management software to track schedules, budgets, and progress.
  • Prepare production reports for management.
  • Coordinate final inspections and warranty documentation.
  • Assist with forecasting production schedules and resource planning.
    Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 3–5 years of roofing project management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of residential roofing systems.
  • Thorough understanding of Florida roofing codes and permitting requirements.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to climb ladders, inspect roofs, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred

  • Experience with insurance restoration projects.
  • Knowledge of Xactimate, JobNimbus, AccuLynx, CompanyCam, or similar construction management software.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Experience with storm restoration operations.
  • Roofing industry certifications or manufacturer certifications.
