Full-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

Earn $80K-$140K+ your first year with hands-on training from the owners themselves, your first 5-7 deals seeded into your pipeline, and a choice between W-2 base salary or uncapped 1099 commission. Join a fast-growing roofing company where the owners still knock doors -- and promote from within.

About Maverick Roofing

Maverick Roofing LLC is a growing roofing company with offices in Rockledge and downtown Orlando, serving homeowners across Greater Orlando, Daytona Beach, and down to Port St. Lucie. Founded three years ago by three co-owners who all started as door-to-door canvassers, Maverick has built its reputation on integrity: honest commission structures, on-time pay, and transparent communication. We're scaling fast and actively building our future sales leadership from within -- which means early hires have real advancement opportunity.

Position: Roofing Sales Representative (Door-to-Door) Location: Field-based across Greater Orlando / Daytona Beach to Port St. Lucie, FL (offices in Rockledge & Orlando -- minimal office time) Employment Type: Full-Time | W-2 (Base + Commission) or 1099 (Commission-Only) -- final structure determined with ownership based on your experience

The Role

As a Roofing Sales Representative, you'll canvass neighborhoods, offer homeowners free roof inspections, help them file insurance claims for storm damage, and close retail roofing contracts. This is a true field role with schedule flexibility and direct, hands-on mentorship from the company's owners.

You'll Be Responsible For:

  • Canvassing residential neighborhoods 4-6 hours per day (door-to-door)
  • Performing roof inspections and identifying storm damage
  • Guiding homeowners through the insurance claim process
  • Closing retail roofing contracts
  • Managing your pipeline in JobNimbus CRM
  • Meeting performance targets: ~1 insurance claim per week or 2-3 roofs closed per month

Who Thrives Here:

Required:

  • Full-time availability -- this role is designed as your primary income source (part-time/side-hustle arrangements are not a fit)
  • Willingness to door-knock 4-6 hours per day in the field
  • Located in (or able to reliably work) the Greater Orlando / Daytona Beach / Port St. Lucie territory
  • Ability to pass a standard background check

Preferred:

  • Experience in roofing sales, door-to-door sales (solar, pest control, alarms), or other commission-based sales
  • Competitive, self-driven mindset -- former athletes, military, and entrepreneurial backgrounds excel here
  • No roofing experience? Still apply -- our W-2 path with hands-on owner training was built for driven candidates newer to the industry

What You Can Expect:

Compensation Structure (two options -- one role):

  • 1099 Commission-Only: Expected first-year earnings of $80,000-$140,000 for consistent performers; established reps (years 2-3) earn up to $200,000. Uncapped commissions. Full schedule autonomy -- no mandatory office check-ins.
  • W-2 Base + Commission: $40,000 base salary plus commission, with expected additional commission earnings of $20,000-$40,000 in year one.

Commission Disclosure: For the 1099 option, this is a commission-only independent contractor position. Earnings figures represent expected ranges based on performance and are not guaranteed. Insurance claim commissions typically pay out 3-4 months after filing.

Support and Tools Provided:

  • Hands-on training directly from the owners -- ride-alongs, joint door-knocking, live inspections, and claim filing together
  • Your first 5-7 claims seeded into your pipeline by the owners to jumpstart your earnings
  • Company shirts, hats, and business cards provided
  • JobNimbus CRM access
  • Clear promotion path into sales management as the company scales -- we promote from within

Our Culture

We're a team built by door-knockers, for door-knockers. No micromanagement, no mandatory morning stand-ups for 1099 reps, no shady pay games. We work hard, pay on time, and grow our leaders from the field up. When you succeed, we all succeed.
