Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician

We are seeking an experienced Built-Up Commercial Roofing Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining built-up roofing (BUR) systems on commercial and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced working with asphalt, tar, insulation, and multi-ply roofing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain built-up roofing systems on commercial properties
  • Apply hot asphalt, roofing felts, insulation, and coatings according to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform tear-offs and roof preparation for new installations and repairs
  • Operate roofing equipment, kettles, torches, and hand tools safely and efficiently
  • Inspect roofs and identify leaks, damage, and repair needs
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and crew members
  • Maintain a clean and organized job site
  • Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of commercial roofing experience preferred
  • Experience with built-up roofing (BUR) systems required
  • Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and safety practices
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Valid drivers license preferred
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus
