Sofidel America of Las Vegas Blvd iscurrently seeking a Manufacturing (Paper Mill) Production Planner. We are searching for a candidate that is local to the area and is looking for a long term role in a stable environment with opportunity for growth. Job Responsibilities

Develops and maintains accurate production and inventory plans to meet forecast needs.

Work with the Material Planning Manager to create the machine production schedule.

Schedule and reschedule production of finished products, and sub-assemblies in accordance with customer demand, safety stock requirements, forecasts, and production targets.

Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of material through the production cycle

Coordinate the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering

Plan, schedule, and monitor the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases

Approve the production plan

Continuously look for innovative ways to improve trim efficiency and reduce waste as well as to improve process efficiency

Collaborate with Converting Production Planning in order to maximize service to end-use clients

Support the parent reels sales Office in the relationship with clients concerning production plans, deliveries and technical specifications

Work with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and other planners to develop production plans

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or other similar technical degree

1-3 years’ experience in scheduling in a manufacturing environment; paper mills or paper industry is preferred

Innovative Thinker: possess the ability to evaluate large amounts of information

Able to work in a time bound environment

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task and balance conflicting objectives

Technical/software skills; SAP and Excel

Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when in the plant and warehouse areas. PPE will include safety shoes, eye and ear protection, reflective vests and hairnets or hats along with any other necessary protection. Temperatures in the plant/warehouse can range a great deal from season to season. The employee will be exposed to considerable paper dust and employees will also be exposed to noise levels that will require hearing protection.
