Office Scale Clerk

Temporary Assignment to Cover LOA: Duration Unknown

Shift: Monday- Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm 

Pay: $19.00 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possess knowledge of the truck scale operation to ensure that trucks are weighed in/out accurately.
  • Record shipment data for tracking, accounting, and accuracy. 
  • Accountable for daily basic bookkeeping, including reconciliation of daily till.
  • Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities. 
  • Compute, record, and proofread data and other information.
  • Maintain and update filing, mailing, and database systems in ROM.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints.
  • Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages. 
  • Willing to perform other incidental duties as required and assigned by management.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, or a combination of training and experience with one year as a receptionist. 
  • Convey information effectively both verbal and written. 
  • Able to work independently and as a team.  
  • Possess strong customer service skills.
  • Detail oriented, responsible, and reliable.
  • Computer skills: knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and 10-key by touch.
