Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and encouraging Skateboard and Roller Skating Instructor to join our team! In this role, you will teach students skateboard and roller skating fundamentals, safety, and techniques using our approved curriculum.
The ideal candidate is passionate about skateboarding or roller skating, enjoys working with children, and brings a positive attitude to every session. Our instructors help create a fun, safe, and supportive learning environment for youth of all skill levels.
Responsibilities
• Provide skateboarding and/or roller skating instruction based on our approved curriculum
 • Teach students safety practices, balance, coordination, and foundational techniques
 • Ensure all participants follow safety guidelines and wear proper protective gear
 • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured environment for students
 • Set up and break down program equipment (ramps, cones, boards, pads, etc.)
 • Inspect equipment and skating areas for safety and cleanliness
 • Assist students who may need support, encouragement, or guidance during lessons
 • Report accidents or incidents to management and complete required documentation
 • Communicate clearly with staff, parents, and program coordinators
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred
 • Experience as a skateboarder, roller skater, youth sports instructor, camp counselor, coach, or childcare provider preferred
 • Experience working with children is strongly preferred
 • First Aid / CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
 • Positive attitude and friendly demeanor
 • Strong communication and leadership skills
 • Willingness to receive training and follow program curriculum
