Job description

CDL A - Tow Truck Operator

Reports to: Operations Manager.

Job Description: Under the supervision of the wrecker division Operations Manager, this full-time position will be responsible for handling daily dispatched wrecker/rollback calls. This highly motivated, self-sufficient operator is expected to be a “walking example” of the organized professional operation that Skimino/TEI strives to be. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptive to changing environments, schedules, and applicable regulations.

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL license endorsement
  • Must have or be able to obtain DAD/Towing license
  • No automatic restrictions
  • Must have or be able to obtain TWIC and military base access
  • Have medical examiners certification
  • Clean MVR
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience as a wrecker operator of heavy duty rollback trucks
  • Must be fluent in the English language
  • Must have and keep current a USA issued driver's license
  • Must have excellent customer etiquette and communication skills
  • Have the ability and desire to form close working relationships with other team members
  • Clean, manage, and maintain tools and vehicles which are assigned
  • Perform duties during regular working hours and when circumstances arise, additional duty time required to complete a dispatched call or task required by manager
  • Have a willingness to travel out of the area, and sometimes out of town, at any time of the day or day of the week as necessary
  • Be receptive to on and off-site training with exceptional results
  • Must be willing to learn and perform a diverse array of other assigned duties
  • Must pass a criminal history check
  • Must pass pre-employment and subsequent random drug/alcohol screenings
