Transportation Driver
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Position Type: Part-Time (25 to 29 hours per week, with additional hours as needed)

Position Summary
The Transportation Driver is responsible for safely transporting children and teens, ages 6 to 18, to and from designated locations, as well as supporting local transportation needs and occasional field trips. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and able to build positive relationships with youth while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely transport children and teens according to assigned schedules and routes.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with passengers while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Ensure all passengers follow established safety guidelines while riding in the vehicle.
  • Maintain all required driver's licenses, certifications, and documentation.
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of passengers during loading, transportation, and unloading.
  • Follow assigned transportation routes and schedules accurately.
  • Operate vehicles in compliance with company policies and all state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle conditions.
  • Monitor fuel, fluid levels, and general vehicle maintenance needs.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and organization.
  • Assist with local deliveries, supply transportation, and other operational support as needed.
  • Report accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns immediately.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Monitor weather conditions and transportation alerts that may impact routes.
  • Assist with special events or transportation needs as assigned.
  • Work occasional weekends when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid state driver's license required.
  • Minimum of two years of driving experience, personal or professional.
  • Current DMV driving record dated within 30 days of application.
  • Ability to successfully pass a fingerprint screening and background check.
  • Experience working with youth, students, or children preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required within three months of hire.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
