About the Opportunity

A growing fastener manufacturer is seeking an experienced Thread Rolling Operator / Setup Technician to operate, set up, troubleshoot, and maintain thread rolling equipment used in the production of high-quality fasteners.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone with strong mechanical aptitude who understands machine setup, tooling, dimensional inspection, and production quality. The ideal candidate is comfortable making machine adjustments, identifying production issues, and keeping equipment running efficiently while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards.


What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust thread rolling and secondary equipment, including INGRAMATIC / SACMA machines
  • Perform tooling setups and machine changeovers based on production requirements
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain production efficiency
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment
  • Verify part dimensions and quality against customer specifications and control plans
  • Identify defects, troubleshoot production issues, and make necessary machine adjustments
  • Perform minor tooling modifications, sharpening, and adjustments when needed
  • Maintain proper machine lubrication, cleaning, and preventative maintenance practices
  • Complete production sheets, scrap documentation, trace cards, and downtime reporting
  • Follow proper scrap declaration and material-handling procedures
  • Assist operators with machine operation, setups, troubleshooting, and job changes
  • Maintain accurate production and inventory information within the ERP system
  • Follow all company safety procedures and required PPE standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support production needs throughout the facility as required


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery and production issues
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and production standards
  • Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
  • Reliable transportation
  • Availability to work weekends when required
  • Ability to lift up to approximately 20 lbs. and regularly bend, stoop, reach, and work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work around machinery, noise, oils, and varying temperatures while wearing required PPE



Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous thread rolling, fastener manufacturing, machine setup, or similar production experience
  • Experience operating or setting up INGRAMATIC, SACMA, or similar thread rolling equipment
  • Previous header operator experience
  • Familiarity with SAP or another ERP system
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with tooling setup, adjustment, sharpening, or minor tooling modifications
