Description

R Transport is hiring experienced Class A CDL Roll-Off Truck Drivers to support our growing hazardous, special, dangerous, industrial, MRW and PCB waste transportation operations.


R Transport is a Washington-certificated waste transportation company operating throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. Our drivers work on environmental, industrial, construction, utility and waste transportation projects using company-owned commercial equipment.


This position includes regional work. We do operate local runs that allow drivers to return home daily; however, many of our projects require overnight travel. Applicants must understand and be willing to perform overnight and regional work when required by company operations.


Primary Responsibilities:


Safely operate dump truck and related Class A commercial equipment

Transport hazardous, special, dangerous, industrial and other regulated or non-regulated materials

Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Complete manifests, shipping documents, electronic logs and other required transportation paperwork

Follow DOT, FMCSA, Washington State, customer and company safety requirements

Properly inspect, secure and manage loads throughout transportation

Maintain professional communication with dispatch, customers and project personnel

Perform both local and regional assignments based on operational needs

Perform overnight travel when required

Maintain assigned company equipment in a clean, safe and professional condition

Requirements

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Valid Hazardous Materials (HazMat) endorsement

Current DOT medical certification

Acceptable motor vehicle record

Ability to meet all applicable DOT and FMCSA driver qualification requirements

Ability to successfully complete required drug and alcohol testing

Ability to safely operate assigned commercial equipment

Ability to safely climb into and out of commercial vehicles and perform normal driver duties

Ability to complete electronic logs, manifests and transportation documentation

Ability and willingness to perform both local and regional work

Ability and willingness to stay overnight away from home when required

Ability to comply with company, customer and site-specific safety requirements


HAZWOPER and hazardous-material transportation experience are preferred. Additional company-required training will be provided where appropriate.
