Job description

ROLLOFF DRIVER NEEDED FOR METALS RECYCLING COMPANY!

Founded in 2009, Intonu is a metals recycling company located on the west side of Atlanta which has grown to be one of the leading recyclers in the Southeastern United States. We are currently seeking a Rolloff Truck Driver to join our growing team.

We participate in E Verify. PPE required. All DOT requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver roll-off containers when they are empty and take them for disposal when they're full
  • Responsible for preparing and securing containers to various sites
  • Drive truck to destination according to designated route
  • Safely operate the truck
  • Follow all state and local traffic laws
  • Inspect truck for defects before, during and after trips and report any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor
  • Inspect loads prior to departing to ensure materials are properly loaded
  • Must be able to drop and spot trailers on finished goods lot
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety programs
  • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition
  • Perform record keeping as needed for the role
  • Ensure all safety measures are taken while at the company site, customers site and on the road
  • Other job duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver
  • Lift 50-75 lbs
  • Class A or B License
  • Clean MVR, PSP and Clearinghouse

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary and can include nights and weekends. This job requires 40 hours per week and may have additional overtime as necessary.
