Role: Network Engineer L2

Location: Englewood Cliff, NJ

Hybrid: 3 days a week

In-person: yes, one in-person round at the client location is mandatory

Duration: 12 Months

Job Description:

 We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, operate, and support enterprise, data center, cloud, and market data network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise routing and switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Arista networking, AWS networking, corporate Wi-Fi, and low-latency market data environments. Linux administration experience is desirable .

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN, WAN, and data center networks.
  • Configure and support Cisco, Arista, and Juniper networking equipment.
  • Manage TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP/HSRP, ACLs, NAT, QoS, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
  • Administer Palo Alto Firewalls including Security Policies, NAT, Global Protect, IPSec VPN, HA, URL Filtering, and Threat Prevention.
  • Configure and support Arista EOS, MLAG, LACP, Port Channels, Spine-Leaf architecture, and firmware upgrades. VXLAN/EVPN preferred.
  • Design and support AWS networking including VPC, Route Tables, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, ALB/NLB, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Support Corporate Wi-Fi, Wireless Controllers, Guest Wi-Fi, and 802.1X authentication.
  • Support low-latency Market Data Networking including IP Multicast, PIM, IGMP, multicast routing, and exchange connectivity.
  • Work with Palo Alto, Arista, Cisco, AWS, ISPs, telecom providers, and market data vendors.
  • Participate in production support, incident response, root cause analysis, documentation, and change management.
