Outside Sales Representative – Residential Pest & Mosquito Control (Experienced)
Full-Time | Base + Commission | Unlimited-Earning Opportunity

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a driven, experienced Residential Outside Sales Representative with a background in selling pest control and related home service verticals. This role is exclusively focused on residential customers and requires a strong blend of field sales, neighborhood development, and in-person community engagement.
Ideal candidates have experience selling multiple pest control verticals such as:

- General pest control
- Mosquito services (including automatic misting systems)
- Rodent exclusion
- Termite treatments, inspections and/or bait systems
- Wildlife exclusion
- Moisture control / crawlspace encapsulation
This position also includes participation in local marketing events, community festivals, home shows, Chamber of Commerce, and other networking events to expand neighborhood reach and build brand presence.
Key Responsibilities

Residential Sales & Vertical Solutions:
- Conduct in-person residential inspections as needed to drive sale goals
- Present tailored treatment plans for pest, mosquito, termite, rodent, wildlife, and moisture solutions
- Explain program benefits, pricing, and long-term protection plans
- Close new residential subscriptions through appointments, canvassing, follow-up, and event leads
Territory & Neighborhood Development

- Prospect targeted neighborhoods to maintain a strong residential pipeline
- Execute structured canvassing, cloverleafing, and doorstep follow-up
- Build awareness through yard signs, zone targeting, and referral-driven outreach
- Develop relationships with home builders and residential developers to increase opportunities up-front
Community & Event-Based Outreach

- Attend local marketing events, including:
  - Chamber of Commerce events
  - Home shows & trade fairs
  - Festivals, community days, and seasonal markets
  - Local sponsorship events
- Network with homeowners, build brand trust, and gather warm leads
- Represent the company professionally with strong on-brand messaging through other networking groups
Customer Experience & Communication

- Provide clear, professional explanations of residential service options
- Build trust through education, transparency, and responsiveness
- Ensure smooth handoff to operations and maintain occasional follow-up to support retention
Performance & Reporting

- Log all leads, follow-up tasks, and sales outcomes in CRM (FieldRoutes or similar)
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly residential sales goals
- Participate in ongoing product training and sales skill development
Qualifications

Required:
- Experience selling residential pest control or closely related verticals
- Strong communication skills and high closing ability
- Proven ability to connect quickly with homeowners
- Self-driven with excellent time and territory management
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Professional appearance and demeanor
Preferred

- State-issued pest control licensing (where required)
- Experience using FieldRoutes or similar CRM
- Experience working home shows, Chamber events, or community outreach
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
