Job Description:

Hard Rock International is seeking a talented Retail Rock Shop, General Manager for our NYC Times Square Hard Rock Cafe - Rock Shop.  Our operators are true entrepreneurs who manage large teams, drive bottom-line results, and multi-dimensional operations that encompass fresh, made-from-scratch ingredients, iconic bars, live music, phenomenal events, and rocking retail operations.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the Retail Industry (comparable years of retail operations management experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Strong leadership behaviors coupled with the technical skill set to drive the business toward success.
  • Genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for serving people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of business acumen and common sense
  • Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills through the ability to diagnose and implement solutions
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language, either written or spoken, to communicate complex ideas.
  • Multiple language abilities a plus, fluency in English required.
  • Proven track record of managerial success in a fast-paced environment by possessing the experience, ability, and knowledge to move the business forward financially while focusing on human capital.
  • Ability to make high-quality and complex decisions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Compensation Offered: $120,000 and above. Including:

  • Bonus Plan
  • Comprehensive Benefits including 401k match

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to move throughout the Rock Shop and Cafe (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment. 

Pay Range:

Pay Range: $112,500 - $168,800
