Job Summary

The Skilled Facilities Partner provides general maintenance services across all Rock City Enterprises properties to ensure that buildings, systems, and equipment remain in optimal condition. This role supports daily maintenance needs, implements preventative maintenance schedules, and assists in troubleshooting and repair efforts to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-ready environment.

Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, the Skilled Facilities Partner performs a wide range of repair, inspection, and improvement tasks while supporting operational excellence across the organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service, Safety & Culture

  • Deliver excellent guest service to internal and external customers in alignment with Rock City Enterprises' mission, culture, and values.
  • Model appropriate guest and partner interactions that reflect the Culture of Excellence.
  • Participate in safety training sessions and maintain compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly to protect guests, partners, and facilities.

Maintenance Operations & Preventative Care

  • Complete Maintenance Work Requests (MWRs) as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform routine inspections and quality checks on:
  • Plumbing systems
  • Electrical systems
  • HVAC systems
  • General building and facility infrastructure
  • Implement and follow preventative maintenance schedules for assigned equipment and systems.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and address maintenance needs before issues escalate.
  • Evaluate equipment performance and recommend repairs, upgrades, or replacements as needed.

Repair, Tools & Documentation

  • Perform general repairs and troubleshooting across multiple trades and systems.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance tools and equipment are properly serviced and in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Document changes made to systems, equipment, or facility layouts.

Emergency Response & Collaboration

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize downtime and ensure guest and partner safety.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
  • Support Facilities Maintenance Apprentices by assisting with training and skill development.
  • Participate in ongoing professional training to enhance technical skills and maintenance knowledge.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.



Requirements

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance, general repair, or a related trade preferred.
  • Basic math skills required.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals, safety procedures, and operational documents.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in the use of standard maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.

Licenses & Availability

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Regular use of hands and fingers for handling tools and equipment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch frequently.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors regularly and in extreme temperatures throughout the year.
