What we do

The General Manager is part of the site operations team, which is part of the Customer Operations organization. The Customer Operations organizationis responsible forleading the day-to-day operations ofSymbotic'srobotic materialhandling system. The Customer Operations organization drives operational excellence by engaging and partnering with our onsite customers to drive best-in-class quality,safetyand system performance.

Whatyou'lldo

• Oversee day-to-day automation operations and production management at the customer site.

• Conduct performance assessments, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

• Own the site operating plan andcustomerfinancial commitments and lead the team inexecuting againstthem.

• Monitor and report on operational performance to customers and internal cross-functional teams.

• Ensurehigh levelsof customer satisfaction bymaintainingquality standards and resolving issues promptly.

• Lead, mentor, and develop the site operations teambyfostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and continuous improvement.

• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline across the site.

• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, LOTO protocols, and company policies.

• Support team development through coaching, training, and hands-on leadership.

Whatyou'llneed

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience.

• Minimum of7 years of functional management and direct supervisory experience.

• Minimum of5 years of direct leadership within an operations environment.

• Experience inlogistics, material management, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.

• Strong understanding of operational metrics and performance management.

• Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements.

• Budget preparation andfinancial managementexperience.

• Flexibility for overtime and travel as needed.

Our Environment

• Up to 10-15% of travel may berequired;travel during onboarding/training will be up to 60%. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

• The employeeis responsible forowning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed bi-weekly.

• There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You maybe requiredto routinelywalk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.

• You will regularly be near railings that are high offthe ground.

• Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105 to 32 Fahrenheit.

• Frequent ability tosafely and efficiently lift items weighingup to 50lbs andmoveitems weighing up to 80lbs.

• Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and isfrequentlyrequiredto walk and reach with hands and arms.

• The employeeis routinely required towork at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

• Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping,pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Mustcomply withall safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
