Job description

Radiation Oncologist - AdventHealth Greater Orlando
AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Radiation Oncologist to join our team with a split-site practice between AdventHealth Winter Garden and AdventHealth Lake Nona. These two state-of-the-art locations in the rapidly growing Orlando market offer access to cutting-edge technology, strong referral networks, and vibrant communities known for excellent quality of life. The successful candidate will be able to lead the initial clinic development in collaboration with their radiation oncology site partner, multi-specialty colleagues, and innovation-minded hospital leadership while maintain high-quality and patient-centered clinical radiation medicine
Winter Garden provides a charming historic downtown, family-friendly neighborhoods, and easy access to Orlando's west corridor, while Lake Nona is a nationally recognized medical innovation hub anchored by Lake Nona Medical City.
Position Highlights:
  • Full-time clinical role providing adult generalist radiation services for oncologic and benign disease
  • Shared call responsibilities across the Central Florida practice group once every 8-10 weeks, with call coverage assigned on a weekly basis.
  • Primary coverage split between AdventHealth Winter Garden and AdventHealth Lake Nona
  • Fully staffed single accelerator hospital-based outpatient clinic with 2026 Varian TrueBeam, VisionRT, and on site CT simulation. Space ready for second linac and theranostics bay planned for future growth.
  • Employed dosimetry pool ensuring rapid and high quality plans; fulltime physics support on site
  • Stereotactic and low dose radiotherapy performed on site; patients have access to GammaKnife, GammaTIle, and MR-guided brachytherapy program provided at Orlando campus

Candidate Requirements:
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology (or American Osteopathic Board of Radiology)
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-training experience preferred, exceptional new grads ready for independent practice considered
  • Eligible for an active Florida medical license
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to build relationships

Practice Overview:
Our group of more than 25 radiation oncologists provides coordinated care across multiple AdventHealth locations throughout Central Florida. Physicians benefit from close alignment with the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, access to advanced technologies, and opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration and clinical sub-specialization.
