About this role

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Quality Assurance professional to join our team at BlackRock. As a Salesforce QA, you will perform test planning and execution across declarative and programmatic Salesforce features, including flows, validations, security configurations, integrations, and managed packages. You will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for one of the key integrations that our Salesforce environment has while identifying risks early in the development lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong Salesforce platform knowledge, a detail-oriented mindset, deep understanding of business processes, and a passion for improving quality through structured processes, automation, and continuous collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute test plans tailored to Salesforce-specific functionalities that use Flows, Triggers, Apex Jobs, and others.

Perform integration, API, regression, functional testing; perform data analysis and validation testing.

Work on ensuring the correct implementation and integration of 2 systems: Salesforce and External System that uses MySQL DB, with a strong focus on data synchronization process and testing event-driven architecture.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce applications and integrations using Copado Robotic Testing tooling.

Partner with developers, product owners, and business analysts across the teams to ensure a comprehensive understanding of testing requirements and business processes.

Collaborate with the team to improve documentation and testing processes.

Communicate testing progress, challenges, and resolutions to the team in a clear and timely manner.

Operate in a fast-paced operating environment with experience supporting multi-org Salesforce setup.

Perform other testing-related tasks as required, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or related field, or equivalent industry experience.

At least 7 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on Salesforce applications preferred.

Strong foundation in Apex and familiarity with Salesforce-specific automations (e.g., Flows, Triggers), Apex Jobs, and event-driven software.

Proficient in Salesforce query languages (SOQL and SOSL) and API technologies (SOAP and REST).

Strong experience in Integration testing.

Experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java).

Familiarity with quality metrics, including escaped defects, reliability, repeatability, and resiliency.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build partnerships with business teams and advocate for software quality principles.

Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to navigate relational databases.

Experience in testing applications that use AWS, event-driven architecture, Python and MySQL database

Understanding of REST applications and Client Server interactions

Highly Desirable Skills/Experience

Related experience in the financial or investment sector

Experience in working with Copado Robotic Testing or Provar

Certifications in quality-related frameworks (ISTQB, Salesforce, ScrumOrg)
