What you'll do...

Position: Manager II, Process Engineer - Supply Chain

Job Location: 3220 Nevada Terrace, Ottawa, KS 66067

Duties: Work on Process Improvement tools and methods (for example, 5S, root cause analysis, six sigma, time and motion studies) to eliminate losses in an area within a Distribution Center according to Network Process Structure using Walmart Performance System (WPS) programs. Delivers expected functional area results through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis, loss elimination, and by creating standard work to reduce process variation. Assists with the review and response of process improvement projects owned by area managers. Applies new network One Best Way playbooks and provides input to Divisional Focused Improvement Teams on project ideation and replication opportunities. Works on savings projects within area of responsibility by taking loss out of the process. Promotes and supports company policies, initiatives, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Assists with the tactical deployment of the WPS program methodology. Participates in project execution of top losses in the functional area and assists in building the capability of other area managers and associates. Supports area loss profile analysis and performance metrics. Develops gap analysis to support WPS integration. Supports Department Managers with WPS programs, projects, associate engagement, and KPI improvements within process area.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's Degree or equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and 1 year of experience in Process Improvement or related field; OR Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Engineering (any) or related field and 3 years of experience in Process Improvement or related field.

Skills required: Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC performing defect analysis in operations and distribution operations process improvement. Experience with root cause analysis and CAPA to find the main cause of machine downtime, issues, defects and implement preventive solutions. Experience with time and motion study to monitor process, data analysis to find gaps and wasted time. Experience with Robotics operations machine programming using Python and SQL. Experience with Material handling equipment selection, ERP to help cut operational costs, reduce error and speed up to keep up the demand using SAP and Allen Bradley(PLC) systems. Experience developing new process flow using VISIO and Proplanner. Experience with 5S to improve efficiency of workplace, safety, and productivity. Experience with AI vision systems to better detect errors and prevent errors from happening using Poka Yoke. Experience with PFMEA to find the risks in process and actions to mitigate the risks so end user is not affected. Experience with Value stream mapping to find value added/non-value-added actions in a process. Experience optimizing the supply chain and logistics process focused to improve output capacity and cost savings. Experience simulating robot process, warehouse operations to understand the process flow, develop new process using SIMIO. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $104,000/year to $156,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
