About the Position:

Intuitive Machines is seeking a Intern to support the NASAโ€™s In-space Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (ISAM) Office is a multifaceted team that is maturing robotic and servicing technologies to tackle new challenges including extending the lifespan of satellites, assembling massive telescopes in space, and refueling and repairing spacecraft on journeys to distant locations. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a passion for learning to assist with a variety of projects. This position is in Greenbelt, MD.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting test facility setup and testing of new robotic systems
  • Creating CAD models of test facilities at Goddard Space Flight Center or of mission environments
  • Developing tools to analyze robot performance or reach and access
  • Designing and 3D printing interactive scale models of mission spacecraft and robots


    Desired skills & experience:
    • Experience with CAD software, particularly CREO or Blender
    • Experience designing and fabricating parts
    • Experience with Linux, Python, or Robot Operating System (ROS)
    • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, work independently, and take initiative
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
