Job description

Robotics Technician

Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 + Equity + Benefits

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site)

Relocation Package: No

Visa Sponsorship: No

The Opportunity

Join a high-growth robotics firm that is moving past lab demos and into the real world. Our client builds autonomous robots currently deployed in data centers for the world's largest hyperscalers. Unlike many startups, their tech is operational 24/7, generating real value today.

Backing includes over $21M in seed funding from top-tier VCs like Conviction, A*, and Abstract. You will join a lean, elite team of ~15 people, including former leaders from Apple, Zoox, and Zipline, at a company where your work is shipped to customers immediately.

The Role

We are seeking a Robotics Technician with 2+ years of electromechanical experience. This isn't just a support role; it is a career-track position with clear progression from Technician to Senior Technician to Deployment Manager. You will work hands-on in a San Francisco development lab, ensuring autonomous robots maintain 100% uptime.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Live Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues for robots operating in 24/7 cycles.
  • Maintenance & Repair: Disassemble, repair, and reassemble complex electromechanical systems using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and diagnostic tools.
  • Engineering Feedback: Collaborate directly with the engineering team to improve robot reliability based on your real-world findings.
  • Systems Diagnostics: Perform basic electrical analysis and execute Linux command-line diagnostics to identify root causes of system failures.

Field Support (Optional): Potential opportunities to support field deployments at customer data center sites.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: 2+ years of professional experience in electromechanical troubleshooting.
  • Technical: Comfortable with hand tools, diagnostic electronics, and basic Linux command-line operations.
  • Resilient: You enjoy the "detective work" of finding out why a robot stopped mid-cycle and fixing it.
  • Local: Able to work on-site full-time in San Francisco.
