Job description

Join our M&R Engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer I, II, or III, specializing in Machine Design, and working onsite at our Roselle, IL facility where innovation meets high-performance automation. You’ll design and develop advanced machinery used in textile, digital, and screen-printing applications. This includes high-speed automation systems, pick-and-place equipment, custom packaging solutions, and robotic integration.

This role collaborates across engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative, efficient, and manufacturable solutions that support the evolving needs of the textile and printing industries from concept through production launch.

We’re seeking a creative problem-solver with a passion for machine design, strong automation expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer Level I, II, or III, based on experience and qualifications.

Core Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop product documentation, including operating instructions and technical literature for textile, screen, and digital printing equipment
  • Perform mechanical design analysis to ensure machines meet performance, durability, and production requirements within printing environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define machine requirements aligned with textile and printing production processes
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, routings, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change notices (ECNs)
  • Support prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes to ensure the successful production of printing equipment, including hands-on support during the assembly process
  • Provide technical expertise to manufacturing teams using CAD tools and engineering documentation specific to printing machinery

Mechanical Engineer I will also perform the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team and project leaders to develop functional machines for textile, digital printing, and screen-printing equipment, including automation and robotic applications.
