Senior QA Automation Engineer - Robot Framework

Location: Omaha, NE (Onsite - 5 days a week)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to drive quality across complex enterprise applications through thoughtful test strategy, hands-on test execution, and scalable automation. In this role, you will partner closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions across evolving applications, technologies, and business domains.

This is an opportunity for a quality engineering professional who brings strong technical expertise, clear communication, problem-solving confidence, and the adaptability to succeed in dynamic environments where priorities and teams may shift based on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for complex enterprise applications.

  • Perform manual and automated functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

  • Analyze requirements, identify quality risks, and develop risk-based testing approaches that balance speed, coverage, and business impact.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using frameworks such as Robot Framework, Playwright, and/or Selenium.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve release confidence and delivery efficiency.

  • Build reusable automation assets and continuously improve test coverage through automation.

  • Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.

  • Manage defects through identification, documentation, triage, root cause analysis, and resolution validation.

  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional project teams to clarify requirements and resolve quality concerns.

  • Communicate testing progress, quality risks, defects, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support multiple applications, products, projects, or business domains as priorities evolve.

  • Quickly learn new technologies, applications, and business processes with minimal ramp-up time.

  • Apply knowledge gained across one project, domain, or technology to solve challenges in another.

Qualifications

  • 7-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance with strong hands-on expertise in test automation.

  • Strong experience in quality engineering, test planning, test design, and test execution for complex enterprise applications.

  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing across functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end scenarios.

  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites.

  • Experience with one or more automation frameworks, including Robot Framework, Playwright, or Selenium.

  • Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Strong API testing experience using Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI, or similar tools.

  • Programming or scripting experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, or SQL.

  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and GitHub.

  • Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira or TestRail.

  • Experience with build and deployment tools such as Maven or Jenkins.

  • Strong understanding of defect management, triage, and root cause analysis.

  • Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps testing practices.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with developers, product owners, business analysts, and project teams.

  • Proven ability to learn new applications, technologies, and business processes quickly.

  • Experience supporting multiple applications, products, projects, or business domains.

  • Demonstrated success transitioning between teams or initiatives with minimal ramp-up time.

The base salary for this position is $73,000 to $ 80,608 plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays and paid learning days.
