Robotics Consulting information

What is robotics consulting?

Robotics consulting involves providing expert advice and solutions to organizations looking to implement, optimize, or troubleshoot robotic systems and automation processes. Robotics consultants assess client needs, recommend appropriate technologies, design custom robotic solutions, and assist with integration and training. Their work spans industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and more, helping businesses increase efficiency, safety, and innovation through robotics. Consultants also stay current with the latest advancements to ensure clients benefit from cutting-edge technologies. Ultimately, they bridge the gap between technical robotics expertise and real-world business challenges.

What are some common challenges faced by robotics consultants when integrating new automation solutions into existing client operations?

Robotics consultants often encounter challenges such as aligning new automation technologies with legacy systems, managing resistance to change among client staff, and ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations. They must also balance technical requirements with budgetary and timeline constraints, while effectively communicating complex concepts to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds. Navigating these challenges requires strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to ensure successful project outcomes.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a robotics consultant, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Robotics Consultant, you need a strong background in robotics engineering, systems integration, and problem-solving, typically supported by a degree in engineering or computer science. Familiarity with programming languages (such as Python or C++), robotics simulation tools (e.g., ROS, Gazebo), and relevant certifications like Certified Robotics Professional are highly valued. Exceptional communication, project management, and client-facing skills help you effectively translate technical solutions into actionable business strategies. These skills are crucial for delivering innovative, practical robotics solutions that drive client success and industry advancement.

What is the difference between Robotics Consulting vs Robotics Engineer?

AspectRobotics ConsultingRobotics Engineer
Required CredentialsBachelor's or higher in engineering, robotics, or related fields; certifications like Certified Robotics ProfessionalBachelor's or higher in robotics, mechanical, electrical, or computer engineering; often includes hands-on technical skills
Work EnvironmentClient sites, consulting firms, project-based settingsResearch labs, manufacturing plants, development teams
Employer & Industry UsageConsulting firms, technology companies, industrial sectorsManufacturers, research institutions, tech companies

Robotics Consulting involves advising clients on robotics solutions, project management, and system integration, often in a client-facing role. Robotics Engineers focus on designing, developing, and testing robotic systems. While both roles require technical knowledge, consulting emphasizes strategic planning and communication, whereas engineering emphasizes technical development and implementation.

Is robotics consulting a high paying career?

Robotics consulting is generally considered a well-paying career, especially for professionals with strong technical skills in robotics, programming, and systems integration. Salaries can vary based on experience, certifications, and location, but experienced consultants often earn above average industry wages due to the specialized nature of the work.

Job description

Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong frontend focus to join a global e-commerce engineering team building fast, discoverable, and frictionless web experiences. While this is a full stack role, the primary responsibility is designing and delivering frontend features with a strong emphasis on technical SEO, organic search performance, page speed, and crawlability.

You'll work across the stack when needed — APIs, rendering strategies, backend services — but your home is the frontend. You operate autonomously, navigate ambiguity well, and ship solutions that improve both user experience and search visibility at scale.

What you'll do
  • Build and maintain UI applications and components with deep understanding of SSR, CSR, hydration behavior, and their implications for crawlability, indexation, performance, and UX.

  • Translate SEO requirements into scalable engineering solutions — metadata frameworks, canonicalization strategies, internal linking patterns, structured data, sitemap support, and robots directives.

  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and APIs in close collaboration with backend and platform teams.

  • Monitor and improve page performance signals that influence organic search outcomes, including Core Web Vitals, rendering efficiency, and content delivery strategies.

  • Work independently in ambiguous problem spaces — clarify requirements, propose options, and converge on pragmatic solutions that balance SEO, performance, maintainability, and UX.

  • Partner with product, design, content, SEO, and analytics teams to implement search-friendly experiences aligned with business goals.

  • Communicate execution plans, tradeoffs, and progress clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Contribute to keeping software and tooling current with modern best practices in frontend engineering, web architecture, and technical SEO.

What you bring
  • Strong expertise in modern frontend development: React, TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, and HTML.

  • In-depth knowledge of SSR and CSR patterns in React and their performance, SEO, and UX implications.

  • Strong understanding of technical SEO principles for modern web applications — crawlability, indexation, canonical tags, redirects, metadata, schema markup, internal linking, URL structure, and duplicate content prevention.

  • Experience building web experiences that support strong search performance through sound rendering decisions, semantic markup, accessibility, and page speed optimization.

  • Comfortable contributing to backend implementation when needed — REST or GraphQL APIs, Node.js services, caching, CI/CD.

  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with SEO, content, analytics, product, and design stakeholders.

  • Ability to evaluate engineering tradeoffs across performance, maintainability, experimentation, and search visibility.

Preferred qualifications
  • Next.js and GraphQL experience.

  • Technical SEO implementation experience on large-scale websites or ecommerce platforms.

  • Schema.org structured data and rich result optimization.

  • XML sitemaps, robots.txt management, redirects, and canonical URL strategy at scale.

  • Tagging and analytics platforms — Adobe DTM/Launch, Tealium, or Google Tag Manager.

  • CMS experience — CoreMedia, Magnolia, Contentful, AEM, or similar.

  • A/B testing platforms — Adobe Target, AB Tasty, or Evergage.

  • Ecommerce platform experience — Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, Shopify, or similar.

  • SEO tooling and diagnostics workflows — Google Search Console, crawling tools, page performance tooling, log-based analysis.

When you join Solvd, you'll…

  • Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.

  • Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.

  • Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.

Ready to make an impact?

Solvd is an equal opportunity employer.
