Job description

Do you get excited when your software actually interacts with the physical world?
Are you ready to learn the new exciting world of smart robots?
Do you feel tired of working in a big company?
Would you like to cooperate with top professionals in our industry?

If your answers are mostly yes, then you should keep reading.

At Nomagic, we're on a mission to teach robots the real world. We're now looking for a Senior Project Engineering Manager (Hardware), who ensures smooth technical execution of robotic systems by coordinating work across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and operations teams - and manages the delivery of hardware from concept through customer acceptance.

Offer Essentials
  • Play with robots every day
  • Work Model: Onsite (with flexibility for a hybrid setup)
  • Salary: Competitive US market salary (based on experience) plus equity
  • Relocation package (travel expenses fully covered)
  • Truly flexible working hours
Here is why we love this job ourselves, and hope you will enjoy it too:
  • We build robots powered by AI
  • We have them in production at scale and see their real impact on critical operations.
  • We test our code in unit tests, simulations and on real robots!
  • We're still pretty small, so everyone has a direct impact on the final result
  • Our team has built Google Warsaw, unicorn startups (Climate Corp), tested rocket engines and worked at top companies such as Nvidia or ByteDance. Now we shape the future of smart robotics together!
  • We combine world-class research with top-notch engineering and apply it to solve real problems
Some of the problems you may try to solve with us:
  • Own the system-level technical execution of robotic stations and hardware projects
  • Design and define the overall architecture and layout of robotic cells
  • Coordinate delivery across Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Software, ML, and Automation teams
  • Drive end-to-end integration from early design through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and customer acceptance
  • Ensure schedules and technical milestones are met from pre-sales handoff through final deployment
  • Understand and assess the impact, priority, and feasibility of proposed improvements or changes
  • Debug issues across the entire hardware/software stack, ensuring ownership is assigned and resolution is driven to closure
  • Analyze robot and system performance data (dashboards, logs, spreadsheets, basic SQL/analytics tools)
  • Act as a technical bridge between engineering teams, project management, and customer-facing roles
  • Support customer site visits and deployments as needed (up to ~40% peak travel)
What skills we'd like you to have:
  • 5-10+ years of experience in hardware, systems, or project engineering for robotics, automation, or industrial systems
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end robotic or automation projects
  • Strong system-level understanding across mechanical, electrical, and automation domains
  • Ability to deeply understand complex technical systems and debug across boundaries
  • Strong organizational skills and a bias toward execution and delivery
  • Comfortable making technical decisions under time and customer pressure
  • Experience analyzing performance data using tools such as Excel / Google Sheets, dashboards, or basic SQL
  • Excellent communication skills in English (French or German is a plus)
  • Willingness to travel up to ~40% (peak) to customer sites
Nice to have:
  • Experience in intralogistics, warehouse automation, or fulfillment systems
  • Hands-on experience with industrial robots (ABB strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with FAT/SAT processes and customer acceptance workflows
  • Experience working in fast-scaling or startup robotics environments
ย
What should you expect once you apply?
  • 30-minute recruiter screen
  • Hiring manager interview
  • Technical interview (systems & integration focus)
  • Data / analytics discussion
  • Final interview or onsite/virtual loop
  • We make the final decision after max. 2-3 days after on-site interview.
  • Important: Feedback after completing the recruitment process.
