LTS is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Automation Team Engineer to support the OMEGA program by designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining technical automation solutions. This helps to improve operational efficiency, reporting, decision support, and workflow execution across the program.

Working under the direction of the Automation and Innovation Lead and in coordination with the Process Automation Analyst, the Automation Engineer develops automation workflows, dashboards, integrations, reusable tooling, and technical solutions that support program automation initiatives across all COEs and the broader OMEGA program.

The role focuses on implementing scalable automation capabilities for operational processes such as documentation summarization, release risk analysis support, RCA draft generation support, reporting workflow automation, governance artifact processing, and sustainment transition support. While the Automation Engineer may automate report generation and reporting workflows, the design and development of analytics dashboards and value measurement reporting is performed by the Digital Value Analytics Team.

Through this role, the Automation Engineer will enable the OMEGA program to:
Implement practical automation solutions that reduce manual effort
Improve consistency and speed of recurring operational tasks
Support more proactive release, governance, and incident workflows
Enable automation of recurring dashboards, reports, and process checks
Establish reusable automation assets that can scale across COEs and future workstreams

What You'll Do:
Perform Automation Solution Development support:

  • Develop and maintain automation workflows and technical solutions that support priority automation initiatives across the program.
  • Develop automation workflows and scripts
  • Configure automation solutions supporting operational processes
  • Draft Technical documentation for implemented automations

Support Reporting Workflow Automation:

  • Design and implement automation capabilities that streamline recurring reporting processes and reduce manual effort associated with report generation and distribution across the program.
  • Automate report generation and distribution workflows
  • Create reusable templates and automation scripts supporting recurring operational reporting
  • Draft documentation of reporting workflow automation logic and configuration
  • Note: The Digital Value Analytics Team is responsible for designing analytics dashboards and defining program value metrics. The Automation Engineer focuses on automating the production and delivery of reports and operational data feeds.

Support Data Integration and Workflow Enablement:

  • Integrate relevant program data sources, reporting systems, and operational artifacts to support automation solutions and decision-support workflows
  • Data integrations supporting automation workflows
  • Configured data pipelines and transformation logic
  • Documentation of integrated systems and data flows

Provide Release, Governance, and Incident Automation Support:

  • Implement technical capabilities that support automation of release readiness checks, governance artifact processing, incident summaries, and draft RCA support
  • Provide Automation components supporting release and governance review workflows
  • Support Incident and RCA support utilities
  • Create Validation and testing documentation for automation solutions

Provide Reusable Automation Asset Development:

  • Create reusable automation assets, templates, and technical components that can be used across multiple teams and future program efforts
  • Create Reusable prompt libraries, workflow templates, and technical assets
  • Provide Technical playbooks for automation solution use and maintenance
  • Create Repository of reusable automation components
  • Configure reusable automation components for COE adoption
  • Draft Technical onboarding materials for automation solution use

Provide Testing, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement Support:

  • Test, refine, and maintain automation solutions to ensure reliability, usability, and alignment with evolving program needs
  • Provide Test results and validation records for implemented solutions
  • Provide Maintenance updates and enhancement logs
  • Provide Continuous improvement recommendations for existing automations

What We're Looking For:
