Source One is a consulting services company and we’re currently looking for the following individual to work for a fast-growing AI robotics company in Cambridge, MA.


Title: Robot Operator (Contract)

Pay Rate: $40/hr plus benefits

Initial Duration: 12-Month Contract with strong extension potential

Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours (flexible start time)


Overview: This is an early-stage opportunity with strong visibility and direct impact on cutting-edge robotics technology. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and research teams to help improve robotic systems and operational workflows.


Responsibilities:

- Operate physical and simulated robotic systems using VR headsets and controllers

- Collect data by demonstrating tasks and evaluating autonomous robot behavior

- Execute onsite and offsite data collection missions

- Provide detailed feedback to engineering teams on system performance and issues

- Perform basic robot maintenance and troubleshooting

- Set up and maintain testing equipment and environments

- Transport equipment using company vehicles

- Support process, tooling, and workflow improvements


Qualifications:

- Experience with gaming, VR, drones, robotics, or remote-operated systems

- Comfortable using VR for extended periods (must not be prone to motion sickness)

- Familiarity with command-line tools and/or GitHub preferred

- Comfortable in hands-on, fast-paced technical environments

- Proficient with Windows, macOS, and Linux

- Valid U.S. driver’s license

- U.S. citizenship required

- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
