Role Description The Roadway Pavement Marking and Striping Machine Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is responsible for operating pavement striping and marking machinery to apply lines, symbols, and other roadway markings according to project specifications and safety standards. Daily tasks include setting up equipment and work zones, loading materials, performing pre- and post-operation equipment checks, and ensuring accurate layout and alignment of markings. The operator coordinates with crew members and supervisors, follows traffic control plans, and adheres to all safety and regulatory requirements while working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Additional responsibilities may include basic equipment maintenance, cleanup of job sites, and completion of required logs or reports.
Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and working safely around roadway Machinery.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant pavement markings.
  • Candidates should possess skills in using Hand Tools for equipment adjustments, basic maintenance, and site setup.
  • Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to coordinate with crew members, supervisors, and, when necessary, inspectors or clients.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; commercial driving experience or CDL is a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods, lift and move materials and equipment, and follow safety protocols and traffic control procedures.
  • Previous experience in roadway construction, striping, or related fields is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and follow instructions is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; commitment to punctuality, teamwork, and professional behavior on job sites.
