Brown & Brown is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to join our growing team in Daytona Beach, FL or Plano, TX.
The Senior Network Engineer's primary responsibilities include all planning, design, implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the B&B network Will form and follow a standards-based architecture and design philosophy to assure the overall health, security and scalability of the network infrastructure.
How You Will Contribute:
  • Works with the business to extract IT requirements to determine network solutions

  • Analyzes business requirements and translates them into network solutions

  • Articulates network solutions to the business in a clear and concise manner

  • Produces detailed network design documentation, implementation plans and financial models

  • Regularly executes implementation plans with minimal business impact

  • Develops network solutions in alignment with security policies

  • Produces engineering and installation plans to support new initiatives as well as prepare reports and documentation on the existing network configuration as required.

  • Executes the full network planning, road mapping, design, implement, maintenance and optimization processes

  • Introduces new network technologies into the business

  • Oversees network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies

Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 + years' experience in network architecture/engineering and considered a subject matter expert

  • 2+ years of experience with Azure services

Preferred:
  • Expert knowledge of Routing and Switching Technologies

  • Expert knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)

  • Expert knowledge and execution of Cisco, Palo Alto and other network security solutions

  • Adept in telecommunications and data communications technologies

  • Experience with Cloud based networking including Azure
