Summary:
The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and growing long-term relationships with key residential and construction accounts. This role focuses on driving revenue through strategic planning, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration. The Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for high-value customers and plays a critical role in expanding market share across residential new construction, multi-family, and large contractor segments.
Responsibilities:
  • Strategically manage a high-value portfolio of builder, developer, and contractor accounts to maximize market penetration and revenue growth
  • Develop and implement data-driven account strategies that enhance customer retention while expanding share of wallet across our product lines
  • Prospect and cultivate new business opportunities within existing accounts while identifying and converting strategic targeted accounts
  • Execute comprehensive sales cycle from lead generation through final sales, including consultative presentations and negotiations
  • Drive adoption of comprehensive HVAC solutions including equipment, controls, service agreements, and system upgrades to increase revenue streams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with estimating and inside sales teams to develop compelling, competitive proposals that win business
  • Coordinate with operations, order management, and service teams to ensure exceptional sales execution and client satisfaction
  • Support business intelligence initiatives including accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and strategic planning processes
  • Monitor industry developments, construction trends, and competitive activities to maintain market advantage and identify emerging opportunities.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of sales or account management experience in HVAC, construction, or building services.
  • Proven record managing large or complex accounts.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Proficiency in CRM system (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office or similar platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region.

Requirements:
