Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
  • Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and perform repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe fitting and leak repairs.
  • Utilize specialized tools including ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for repairs or modifications.
  • Service refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration units used in commercial settings.
  • Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports documenting all work performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes.
  • Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
  • Operate a driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or parts between sites.
  • Support the design or modification of HVAC systems by applying HVAC design principles aligned with client needs.

Experience

  • Proven field service experience as an HVAC technician or service technician in construction or property maintenance environments.
  • A minimum of one year experience required.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience repairing HVAC/R equipment including appliances, boilers, and refrigeration units.
  • Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC system installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems or other specialized refrigerants is a plus.
  • Ability to perform welding and equipment repair tasks safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of plumbing practices relevant to HVAC installations and repairs.
  • Mechanical experience involving boiler operation or maintenance is desirable.
