Job description

Programmatic initiatives for the stroke sub-service line and assure compliance with Primary Stroke Center certification requirements. Serves as the point of contact for stroke treatment throughout the hospital, and works collaboratively with the Stroke Committee Chairman and other key stakeholders on all stroke efforts. Functions as a clinician, an educator, a consultant and a researcher with the primary responsibility for promoting quality care for stroke patients. Coordinate and manages care of stroke patients in order to meet multiple service needs, ensure continuity of care, and eliminate fragmentation of care and services in all settings across the continuum.

Education
  • Graduate from a nursing program Required

  • Associates Degree and five (5) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or

  • Bachelors Degree and three (3) years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care Required or

  • Masters degree Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a bachelor's degree Required or

  • 5 years of recent and relevant clinical experience related to stroke care and a associates degree Required

  • Experience with data analysis and research Required
Licenses and Certifications
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License Upon Hire Required

  • NIHSS certification Upon Hire Required

  • CNRN - Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse Preferred or

  • SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse Preferred
