Job description

Beckley Clinical provides patients suffering from depression and other mental health conditions with easy access to treatment options that are safe, effective, affordable, and reliable, delivered in a calm and supportive environment. We are seeking a skilled and empathetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in San Antonio, Texas 2-3 days per week. 
 
As an integral part of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care through administering IV and IM Ketamine treatments and Spravato treatments under the supervision of a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine eligibility and suitability for IV and IM Ketamine treatments and Spravato treatments.
  • Administer IV and IM Ketamine treatments and Spravato treatments in accordance with established protocols and best practices, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients closely during and after treatments to assess their response and address any adverse reactions or side effects promptly.
  • Collaborate with the medical team to develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and condition.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, treatment progress, and any observations related to the patient's mental health status.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients before, during, and after treatments, creating a caring and compassionate environment.
  • Educate patients and their families about the treatment process, potential side effects, and aftercare instructions to promote adherence to the prescribed plan.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of medications, supplies, and equipment required for IV and IM Ketamine treatments and Spravato treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards related to the administration of IV and IM Ketamine treatments and Spravato treatments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in mental health treatments, attending relevant training sessions and workshops as required.
Qualifications
  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ACLS certification required. IV certification highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in providing patient care in a mental health treatment setting.
  • Certification in IV therapy administration and experience in administering IV and IM medications is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Ketamine treatments, Spravato treatments, and their associated protocols is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the medical team effectively.
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking abilities to evaluate patient responses to treatments and make appropriate adjustments as necessary.
  • Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care to individuals with diverse mental health needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations, safety guidelines, and infection control protocols.
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, contributing to the overall success of the mental health treatment center.
Working Conditions
This role is based in our center and involves working in a clinical setting. The noise level is moderate. The position may require extended periods of standing and sitting, as well as some bending and stooping. Manual dexterity related to clinical requirements is necessary, and the ability to lift 50 lbs may be required. Work hours may vary based on location, patient volume, and business needs.
