Job description

Beckley Clinical (BC) is a leader in behavioral health innovation, committed to delivering transformative outcomes through evidence-based drug-assisted therapies. Rooted in over 30 years of experience in psychedelic research, Beckley Clinical was founded to address the critical need for effective, accessible, and safe treatments for behavioral health conditions. Our current mission is to integrate ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) with holistic mental health interventions to improve patient outcomes in real-world clinical settings. In particular, we provide virtual wraparound therapeutic support for patients receiving ketamine or esketamine at partner clinics.

Job Summary:
Beckley Clinical is excited to welcome a psychotherapist to our growing clinical team. We are seeking a licensed psychotherapist to provide preparation and integration psychotherapy to patients undergoing ketamine or esketamine treatment at our partner clinics. The psychotherapist will work closely with other members of the treatment team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing evidence-based psychotherapy and psychedelic integration and be comfortable working in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
  • Conduct preparation sessions with patients before their ketamine or esketamine treatment, including assessing history, reviewing treatment motivations and expectations; and providing psychoeducation.
  • Conduct weekly integration psychotherapy sessions to help patients process their experience and apply insights to daily life.
  • Assist patients in completing outcome measures.
  • Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Beckley Clinical team and partner clinic providers.
  • Adhere to the Beckley Clinical KAP protocol and ethical guidelines.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision.
  • Conduct sessions virtually via video conference (e.g., Zoom).

Qualifications:
Licensure:
  • Licensed mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD)
  •  Texas licensure or willing to obtain license in Texas
  • Individual NPI number
  • Willing to be paneled with commercial insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid
Clinical Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in trauma therapy, mood disorders, and anxiety disorders.
  • Experience working with individuals with moderate to severe mental health symptoms.
  • Experience with ketamine-assisted therapy or other psychedelic-assisted modalities is highly preferred.
Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of non-ordinary states of consciousness and psychedelic integration techniques.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment protocols.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
  • Comfortable using technology and conducting virtual therapy sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  •  Certification or formal training in psychedelic-assisted therapy (e.g., MAPS, CIIS, IPI, Fluence, Polaris etc.).
  • Training in evidence-based therapy modalities, such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or Somatic Experiencing (SE).
  • Expertise in trauma-informed care
  • Familiarity with harm reduction and ethical considerations in psychedelic therapy.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management and insurance billing processes
