Job description

The staff RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame.


Provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration. Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admission and shift assessment within 2 (two) hours if coming on duty. The RN shall, for their patients, collaborate in the formulation of the overall plan of care for the patient, as evidenced by written documentation. Identifies needs and problems specific to biophysical, cognitive, developmental, emotional, socio-cultural, and spiritual assessments.


Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) certification. Current ACLS and PALS certifications. Two years of PACU or critical care experience and/or approved PACU RN training course.
