Rn Injector information

What is an RN Injector?

RN Injectors are registered nurses who are specially trained to administer injectable cosmetic treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, and other aesthetic procedures. They work in medical spas, dermatology offices, plastic surgery clinics, or similar healthcare settings. Their role involves assessing patients, discussing treatment goals, performing injections, and ensuring patient safety throughout the process. RN Injectors must have strong knowledge of facial anatomy, proper injection techniques, and adherence to safety protocols. Typically, they are also required to maintain appropriate certifications and stay updated on the latest cosmetic procedures.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an RN Injector?

To thrive as an RN Injector, you need a valid RN license, a strong understanding of facial anatomy, and experience or certification in aesthetic procedures such as Botox and dermal fillers. Familiarity with medical devices, injection techniques, and electronic health record systems is typically required. Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient education help build trust and deliver optimal outcomes. These competencies ensure safe, effective treatments and contribute to patient satisfaction in a highly specialized medical aesthetics environment.

What are some common challenges RN Injectors face when starting out in aesthetic nursing?

RN Injectors often encounter challenges such as mastering various injection techniques, building patient trust, and staying updated on the latest products and safety protocols. New injectors may also find it difficult to establish a client base and effectively communicate realistic treatment outcomes. Support from experienced colleagues and ongoing training can help overcome these hurdles, leading to greater confidence and competence in the role.

What is the difference between Rn Injector vs Medical Assistant?

AspectRn InjectorMedical Assistant
CertificationsRegistered Nurse license, specialized training in injectionsCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar, basic injection training
Work EnvironmentHospitals, clinics, outpatient settings, specialized clinicsDoctor's offices, clinics, outpatient facilities
Job ResponsibilitiesAdminister injections, patient assessment, care planningAssist with patient care, prepare exam rooms, basic injections

While both Rn Injectors and Medical Assistants administer injections, Rn Injectors have advanced nursing credentials and perform comprehensive patient assessments. Medical Assistants typically have basic injection training and support clinical tasks. Rn Injectors work in more complex healthcare settings, whereas Medical Assistants often work in outpatient clinics and doctor's offices.

Do registered nurse injectors make a lot of money?

Registered nurse injectors can earn a competitive salary, often ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and work setting. They typically perform cosmetic procedures such as Botox and dermal fillers, requiring specialized training and certification, which can influence earning potential.

Job description

Aesthetic Nurse Injector (RN)

Part-Time. 4 Days/Week No Nights, No Weekends.

$42–$50/hour base, plus quarterly performance bonus. Relocation available.

JW Holland Wellness & Aesthetics. Bixby, OK (Tulsa metro).

We're Looking For

An aesthetic-based Registered Nurse who treats injecting as a craft. Someone with the clinical hands of a seasoned provider, the eye of an artist, and the kind of bedside manner that makes a patient exhale the moment you walk in the room.

If you have been waiting for a clinic that takes aesthetics as seriously as you do, and a team that values your judgment, your time, and your life outside of work, we would love to talk.

About JW Holland Wellness & Aesthetics

JW Holland Wellness & Aesthetics is a premium wellness and aesthetics clinic in Bixby, Oklahoma, with over 200 five-star Google reviews and a patient base that returns because they feel genuinely seen. We blend advanced aesthetics with functional medicine, hormone optimization, and longevity care under one roof, which means our aesthetic patients are often deeply invested in their long-term health, not just their next syringe.

Our philosophy is simple: clinical expertise meets genuine care. We do not rush appointments. We do not chase trends. We do not over-treat. We build long relationships with patients who want results that look like the best version of themselves. Never overdone, never generic.

The Role

This is a part-time, four-day-a-week role, designed for an experienced injector who wants real life back. You will not be drowning in patients. You will not be expected to build a book from scratch.

You will inherit a partial book of established patients, with our marketing team driving new patient flow so you can focus on what you do best: assessing faces, listening carefully, and injecting beautifully.

What You Will Actually Do

  • Inject with intention. Neuromodulators (Daxxify, Dysport, Botox), HA fillers, Sculptra, and other approved injectables, using assessment-driven, facial-balancing technique.
  • Run laser and energy treatments on Sciton. Halo, Moxi, BBL HEROic, ProFractional, MicroLaserPeel, Contour TRL, and laser hair removal. Sciton experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement. We will fully train the right injector on the platform.
  • Lead full facial consultations. Listen first. Assess thoroughly. Recommend honestly, even when "not yet" or "less is more" is the right call. treatment notes. The unglamorous work that makes great outcomes reproducible and safe.
  • Educate patients on pre-care, post-care, skincare regimens, and realistic timelines.
  • Document carefully. Photos, charts, treatment notes. The unglamorous work that makes great outcomes reproducible and safe.

What You Bring

Required

  • Active, unencumbered Oklahoma RN license (or compact license valid in OK). APRN also welcome.
  • BLS certification.
  • Demonstrated injection experience. Neuromodulators and HA fillers at a minimum.
  • Hands-on laser experience on any platform (Sciton training provided).
  • Strong clinical judgment and a high bar for safety.
  • A collaborative spirit. This is not a solo-operator role.

Who You Are

  • You enjoy saying "let's wait" as much as you enjoy saying "let's treat."
  • You read faces. You see asymmetry, proportion, and movement before you reach for a syringe.
  • You like working with peers. Co-treating, case review, and asking a teammate "what do you think?" feels like a feature, not a constraint.
  • You are warm without being performative. Patients feel safe around you.
  • You want a job that fits inside your life, not the other way around.

Compensation

Let us be straightforward, because senior injectors deserve straightforward.

This is a premium part-time role designed for an experienced injector who values schedule, autonomy, and earning power over a traditional benefits package. The economics work because you are working four days a week with a strong base, real bonus upside, and an inherited patient book waiting for you.

Base: $42–$50 per hour for the 4-day-a-week schedule, depending on experience and credentials.

Quarterly Performance Bonus: Performance-based structure with meaningful earning potential for strong clinical production and patient satisfaction metrics.

Relocation: Available for the right candidate from OKC, NWA, Wichita, Dallas, or beyond.

What Is Included

    • Established clinic, partial inherited book. You will not be cold-starting.
    • Dedicated marketing team working alongside you to drive social, events, and new-patient acquisition. Together, we drive the practice.
    • Paid major training. Sciton platform certification and approved injector courses are covered by us. We invest in the people we hire.
    • Employee pricing on treatments and products. Invest in yourself the way we invest in you. Premium care at preferential rates.
    • Quarterly aesthetic allowance. Neurotoxin units and choice of premium aesthetic treatments each quarter.
    • PTO. Discussed and negotiated based on your situation and what you bring to the role.
  • 401K eligibility after 6 months.

What Is Not Included

Because this is a part-time role, we do not offer employer-sponsored health insurance. This role is best suited for an injector who has health coverage through a spouse, a separate per-diem clinical position, or another source.

If that fits your situation, the math on this role is genuinely strong. If it does not, we want to be honest with you up front.

What We Are Not

The right fit deserves an honest preview, so:

  • We are not a high-volume "20-patient-day" injection mill. If your favorite metric is units per hour, we are probably not the right home.
  • We do not chase every trend. If a patient asks for something we do not believe is in their best interest, we say so. Kindly, and with a better option.
  • We work as a team. You will have solo patient days, but we expect openness to peer review, collaboration on complex cases, and genuine conversations about clinical decisions. If you prefer working with your door closed and keeping your opinions to yourself, this will not feel right.

How to Apply

If this sounds like the role you have been waiting for, we want a real conversation, not a generic application.

Please send us:

  • Your resume.
  • A short note (a paragraph is plenty) telling us what kind of injector you are and what you want your next clinic to feel like.
  • A few before-and-after photos of your own work, if you have them and your prior employer permits it (de-identified is fine).
  • Your Oklahoma RN license number and any laser or injectable certifications.

Apply through email at info@jwhollandwellness.com.

We respond to every applicant who takes the time to write a real note.

Closing

If you have been quietly hoping to find a clinic where excellent injecting, conservative judgment, and genuine kindness are all expected at the same time, this might be the one. We are excited to meet you.

JW Holland Wellness & Aesthetics is an equal-opportunity employer.
