Job description

 MetTel is looking for a Warehouse Associate with a specialization is Returns to join our team.  

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Returns

  • Processing Returns:  Handle customer returns and exchanges.
  • Assessing Condition: Inspect returned items for defects and ensure they meet return criteria. 
  • Coordination:  Facilitate exchanges, or repairs by coordinating with other departments. 
  • Record Keeping:  Maintain accurate records of returns, including reasons for return and customer information. 
  • Customer Service:   Provide helpful and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues related to returns.
  • Policy Adherence:  Ensure all return processes adhere to company policies and procedures. 
  • Inventory Management:  Update inventory records to reflect returned items. 
  • Resolving Product Disposition:   Resolve the disposition of returned products. 
  • RMA Management: Manage the return merchandise authorization (RMA) process, including issuing RMAs, inspecting merchandise, and sorting returned items. 
  • Customer Follow-Up:  Follow up with customers regarding their returns. 

Inventory

  • Receiving and Processing Inventory Receiving and unpacking incoming shipments.
  • Verifying shipments against purchase orders.
  • Entering received items into inventory management software.
  • Inventory Management and Control:  Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
  • Performing regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Stock Management and Organization: Ensuring a clean and organized inventory storage area.
  • Assisting with stocking shelves or moving inventory.
  • Data Entry and Reporting:  Maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions.
  • Customer Service and Communication:  Assisting clients with inventory counts and inventory verification
  • Answering customer inquiries and complaints related to inventory. 

Other Duties
   Assisting with other duties as assigned. 
   Packing and shipping items. 
   Picking inventory for orders as needed

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent math and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer skills (familiar with excel)
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to carry 50-75lbs
  • Previous experience in Inventory or Returns
  • Problem Solving skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Ability to work individually and in a team setting.
  • Flexibility to work weekends

This position has a base compensation package offered at $20.00p/hr. commensurate with education and background experience.
