Description:
  • Supervises and leads subordinates (1st & 2nd shipping/receiving team members, etc.)
  • Establishes shipping/receiving team member schedules to cover business needs.
  • Monitors and approves shipping/receiving team member daily time punches.
  • Ships and receives all product and materials accurately as required.
  • Updates status of inbound and outbound orders in ERP system.
  • Uses software to track, check, prioritize and ship orders.
  • Manages all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading, purchase orders, etc.
  • Audits Red Zone entries for accuracy and FSQA audit requirements.
  • Directs the flow of shipping packages from preparation to shipment. Inbound goods to dry storage and parcel shipments to proper destinations.
  • Inspects labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders.
  • Controls labor budget of the shipping/receiving department.
  • Collaborates with logistics, operations & sales, and other managers/supervisors to optimize processes.
  • Resolves issues regarding shipped orders.
  • Partners with QC department on processing RMA’s.
  • Manages recyclable program and inbound/outbound pallet processing.
  • Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies.
  • Reports to management on activities and issues.
  • Documents best practice.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
  • 3 Years minimum of shipping/receiving experience.
  • Associates degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment.
  • High attention to internal and external customer needs.
  • Good written and oral communication skills,
  • High attention to company’s health & safety rules.
  • Supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
