Job Purpose

The Warehouse Trainer is responsible for the hands on training of all new personnel and other warehouse employees. The Warehouse Trainer will be responsible for training on best practices and providing on the job training to employees. Also this person will have the opportunity to participate in scout assignments across the network as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide on the job training to equipment operators and other warehouse employees.
  • Conducts training sessions for new hires and provides on-going hands on training to warehouse pickers and employees.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Well versed in all warehouse functions
  • Ability to plan and schedule tasks and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Maintains all training records for required regulatory purposes and mandatory internally required instruction.
  • Perform work safely and in accordance with company and customer standards and safety regulations. Report unsafe conditions or accidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Understands various teaching methods and can provide constructive feedback, while maintaining a positive rapport with employees.
  • Conduct all monthly safety refresher training.
  • Conduct all post-accident safety refresher training.
  • Must be willing to work off shifts as needed for training demands.
  • Will also operate as forklift operator as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Train new Trainers as per RJW policy and SOP's.
  • Day to day communicate with the trainers and help/assist as needs may arise.
  • Implement all SOP's during training.
  • Ensure all trainers are following the guidelines and cross training all associates as needed.
  • Ensure each trainers is maintaining SOP spread sheet for their weekly recap and audit preparation.
  • Ensure every trainer is utilizing the data entry and updating every week.
  • Ensure all safety guidelines are in place and implemented while training including driving equipment's.
  • As a trainer lead, will be travelling to all buildings as needed.
  • Primarily will work mid shift to cover both shifts or as needed.
  • Will fill in when other trainers are off or on vacation.
  • Ensure we are in compliance with quarterly audits.
  • Open tickets with MIS for any issues and get it resolved.
Other Requirements
  • Basic Knowledge of training techniques, or job training.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
Education and/or Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • At least 6 months experience.
Language Skills Sets
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and write. Ability to effectively follow orders and respond to questions from management.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to occasionally reach/lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly works in an indoor/office environment and required to sit and/or use repetitive hand motion.
  • Frequently required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to work in excess of continuous 8 hours when required.
  • Must have the ability to read and discern visual images with 20/20 corrected vision.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate clearly over telephones.
  • Must be in sound physical health as determined by a certified licensed physician with no evidence of the use of controlled substances.
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment will range from quiet to moderately loud.
