Situated along the banks of the Appomattox River, Riverview on the Appomattox Health and Rehab is a long-term care community where strong leadership and genuine compassion define the standard of care.

Our residents aren’t just patients — they’re neighbors, grandparents, and community members who deserve exceptional care every single day. We’re looking for an experienced RN or LPN who is equally at home making clinical decisions as they are mentoring a new CNA or rallying a team through a tough shift. If you lead by example and find real satisfaction in shaping the standard of care on your unit, this is your role.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• 24-hour unit accountability for nursing personnel and patient care

• Staffing, scheduling, and delegation of nursing responsibilities

• Care plan review, revision, and patient assessments

• Physician, family, and interdisciplinary team communication

• Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) participation

• Incident and accident review, investigation, and follow-up

• Team development, monthly unit meetings, and in-service training

• Policy compliance, nursing documentation oversight, and medication record review

THE LEADER WE NEED

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions

• Previous nursing management or supervisory experience — highly preferred

• Strong clinical instincts paired with a confident leadership presence

• Current CPR Healthcare Provider certification

• A communicator who can deliver hard news, celebrate wins, and build trust — all in the same shift
