In 1894, the Cochran School of Nursing, the oldest hospital-based school of nursing in the metropolitan area, was founded, thus making the St. John's Nursing Staff more than just the backbone of the hospital, but the heart and soul. St. John’s dedicated nurses give superior attention to those who need it most with a strong emphasis on patient and family-focused nursing care.

Provides outreach services to expand visibility of the organization. Provide outreach and screening services to referral agencies and directly to patients who schedule an intake appointment. Follow the admission criteria policy to prescreen potential clients for the inpatient detoxification and rehabilitation programs. Arrange for transport of clients to and from inpatient and outpatient facilities when indicated. Register patient data into Meditech system. Entry of OASAS data into computer system. Follows St. John’s Riverside Hospital attendance policy


High School Diploma or GED required. Strong PC skills and medical terminology preferred along with multi-tasking experience and good knowledge of MS Office. Previous experience preferred.
