Job description

Welder and Fabricator of parts for drilling rig for the mining industry. Support the production of various components. Perform as an active member of the team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Know and follow all applicable policies and procedures
  • Report all HSE incidents, accidents, near misses and potential problems in a timely manner
  • Will be expected to help train fellow employees, sharing knowledge will help the department and Reichdrill to grow. Training must be done per Controlled Work Instructions and Trainings.
  • Engage with fellow employees to drive Continuous Improvement
  • Aim to have positive attitude and work together in a courteous and cordial manner. They should strive to help create an honest, trustworthy, and friendly work environment.
  • Use TPM and 5S Methodologies to help optimize equipment availability and improve plant cleanliness and organization by working with maintenance, fellow employees, and leaders to improve overall productivity.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A handson professional with a strong customer service focus and possessing the ability to build effective working relationships with other employees and with external partners;
  • Very strong on attention to detail;
  • Experienced in report writing;
  • Familiarity with standard costing accounting.
  • Job Specific Essential Duties & Responsibilities (Including the following: other duties may be assigned):

  • Possess comprehensive demonstrable knowledge of MIG and TIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Weld components in the flat, vertical or overhead positions
  • Perform a series of progressive welding operations to drawing tolerances and specifications
  • Read and understand detailed drawings for weldments, including solid comprehension and interpretation of weld symbols and complete work to customer requirements and specifications
  • Ability to perform in process measurements and record data accurately
  • Able to properly use and read tape measures and other measuring devices to monitor performance and inspection of parts
  • Possess solid math skills, good mechanical problemsolving skills, and attention to detail
  • Examines weld after, and repairs cracks and fills holes
  • Perform grinding as necessary to support welding process: welding, welding repair or cleanup
  • May use torch for metal cutting
  • Other Duties As Assigned
  • Qualifications:
  • Experience with both MIG and TIG welding
  • Familiarity with welding tools and procedures
  • Familiarity with blueprints and hand tools
  • Ability to handle physical workload in a fastpaced environment
