Senior Maintenance Technician
Maui's Family Entertainment Center, Owensboro, KY
About the Role
Maui’s Indoor Family Entertainment Center is looking for a Senior Attractions amp; Arcade Technician to lead hands-on repair and maintenance of our rides, arcade games, and attraction systems. This is not a basic maintenance job. You’ll be working on a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, and control systems—troubleshooting real technical issues, leading repairs, and helping keep our attractions running safely and reliably. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, fixing complex equipment, and being the go-to technical expert, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems (AC/DC circuits, motors, sensors, relays, power supplies, control components, low-voltage systems)
  • Perform mechanical repairs on rides, attractions, and arcade equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement long-term fixes—not just part swaps
  • Prioritize repairs based on safety, downtime, and guest impact
  • Lead and mentor technicians, ensuring repairs are done correctly and safely
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs and service documentation
  • Ensure attractions meet manufacturer, company, and safety standards
  • Manage parts inventory and recommend upgrades or replacements
  • Respond to urgent technical issues and on-call emergencies
What We’re Looking For
Required:
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Solid mechanical repair background
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals
  • Proven diagnostic skills (you fix problems—you don’t just guess)
  • Comfortable working independently and making technical decisions
Preferred (Not Required):
  • Industrial, manufacturing, or automation maintenance experience
  • Controls, PLC, HVAC, or robotics experience
  • Prior senior or lead technician experience
  • Experience in high-uptime environments (manufacturing, distribution, production)
  • Experience with amusement rides, laser tag, or arcade systems
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift equipment
  • Comfortable working in an active, guest-facing environment
